The rating for this station is somewhat deceptive - it's pretty far from most businesses in the area, but it's a great way to get right to the Indiana Dunes Lakeshore. It's an easy mile walk or ride from the station right to the beach; although it's on the side of the road, there's a wide shoulder and often not enough traffic to warrant worry.
If you're trying to get into town, this stop isn't ideal; but if you want to get to the Dunes, it's an easy trip.
