All for innovative bike racks, but not quite sure how this is a superior/efficient design

Chi -- The point isn't that

Chi -- The point isn't that it's innovative in design. The point is that it's a "branding" of bike parking in NYC, and adds a little more beauty to the biking experience. It's a very simple, functional and well-designed bike rack that also looks really nice, and it's being adopted as the standard bike rack for NYC. It makes a statement that bike parking isn't just an afterthought. It's like putting up a big welcome sign for cyclists.
